In a decree on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif ordered the establishment of a “follow-up” headquarters on the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the official name of the July 14 nuclear agreement with major powers) and appointed Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi as its head, Fars News Agency reported.
US Secretary of State John Kerry had said on Sept. 17 that Stephen Mull, a former US ambassador to Poland with experience working on nuclear and sanctions issues, would be the lead US coordinator for implementing the international accord, according to Reuters.
