Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, believes the recent nuclear agreement with major powers will not slow down the pace of Tehran’s nuclear program.
“In technical terms, the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [the official title of the accord] will not cause any pause and slowdown in the country’s nuclear industry,” he said in an interview with ICANA on Saturday.
On the review of the deal at a special parliamentary commission, the nuclear chief said, “The meetings [of the panel] will certainly help look into and shed light on various aspects [of the pact] and ease concerns.”
