The Foreign Ministry's "consistent" policy has been to help "build confidence" between Iran and regional countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi told Fars News Agency on Sunday. "Today all countries in the region are faced with the threat of terrorism and extremism, so dialogue is an imperative [to address the challenge]." He added that Tehran has expressed readiness to hold dialogue with Persian Gulf Arab states on regional issues, but no date has been set for the talks.
