Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said in a televised interview on Monday that the most significant achievement of his ministry has been to help establish stability and security in various sectors.
“The ministry does not base its policy on factional, political, and electoral [considerations], and governors have been selected based on such an approach,” IRNA quoted Rahmani Fazli as saying.
Coordination and absence of conflict among administration officials and directors of various provincial bodies have contributed to stability, he noted.
He said the ministry acts meticulously in selecting governors, adding that the current Cabinet, under the stewardship of President Hassan Rouhani, is a combination of reformists and principlists “with a general tendency to moderation.”
