Last month's nuclear deal with major powers has put Iran on track to achieve "rapid" and "sustainable" development, the president said.
The agreement will remove sanctions in return for temporary limits on Tehran's nuclear program.
"The shackles of sanctions will break one after another and the people will begin to enjoy their full economic rights," Hassan Rouhani said.
"In the coming months and years, our people will be witnessing rapid and sustainable development and real progress."
He made the remarks in a public address in the city of Hamadan on Tuesday.
The negotiating team was able to present the true image of Iran to the world and remove the specter of war hanging over the country, Rouhani was quoted by IRNA as saying.
With the prospect of an end to sanctions after the accord takes effect, foreign firms, which see the Iranian untapped market as an exceptional opportunity for investment, are jockeying for business in Iran.
"Political and economic delegations from throughout the world have rushed toward Tehran," Rouhani said.
Referring to the upcoming parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections, scheduled for February 26, 2016, Rouhani expressed hope that all bodies involved would do their part to ensure the polls are held "gloriously".
***Rule of Law
He called for commitment to rule of law, stressing, "No one and no organ is above law."
Emphasizing his government's gains since coming to office in 2013, the president said, "Despite sanctions, the government has met its targets for the past two years to cut inflation and improve the business climate."
"Although oil prices have nose-dived especially in recent months to less than one-third of their previous levels, we have made substantial progress in industrial and energy sectors and economic and social domains."
