A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission says the recent nuclear deal with major powers, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, needs to be approved by Parliament, as it is an international agreement under which Iran should fulfill long-term commitments.
“The JCPOA entails commitments for Iran and we are bound to meet them for years, so the JCPOA is considered an international agreement… And under the Constitution, any international agreement has to be examined and approved by Parliament,” Vahid Ahmadi said in an interview with ICANA on Sunday.
