Iran Privatization Organization is expected to generate some $546 million by transferring 120 government-owned companies to the private sector by the end of the current Iranian year on March 19, 2016, says IPO advisor Seyyed Jafar Sobhani. “The organization has paid to the treasury close to $91 million generated by offering government-owned companies at the equity market during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), he was quoted by Bourse Press as saying. Sobhani also noted that Iranian law does not prohibit foreign investment in the Iranian equity market.
