A humanoid robot that will teach children about electronic banking will be unveiled this week. The robot has been developed at the Robotics Research Center of Amirkabir University of Technology and the project was funded by state-owned Bank Keshavarzi (Agricultural Bank), IRNA reports.  Head of the center, Saeed Shiri, explained that researchers first started work on a prototype of the android 18 months ago.    "With a height of 110 cm, the robot is now complete and will be unveiled in one of Bank Keshavarzi's exhibition stands this week," he said.  "The design is advanced and intelligent, such that the android can effectively communicate with children. It can listen, react and respond to questions." Shiri explained that after the robot is unveiled, it will initially be used in educational banking courses for children, sponsored by Bank Keshavarzi. Once the needed feedback is collected, more features will be added so that the robot can address classrooms and give children an understanding of financial services.
