The spokesperson for the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee told IRNA that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif attended a meeting of the committee on Tuesday and gave a report about nuclear talks with the major powers, regional crises, and the recent visit of Iran’s delegation to New York to attend the UN General Assembly.

According to MP Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, Zarif pointed to British Prime Minister David Cameron’s anti-Iran remarks in his speech at the UN General assembly and said Cameron’s comments were “impolite”, adding there should be no rush to restore full diplomatic relations with Britain and a sensible approach should be adopted in this regard.

On the nuclear talks, Zarif said the United States is not seeking to reach an agreement and Iran should try to prove to the world that it really wants to help find a solution to the issue.
