Until further notice, bananas, pineapples, coconuts and mangos can be imported with no permit requirement from the Ministry of Agriculture to prevent any monopolies in fruit imports, announced the Ministry of Agriculture, Mehr News Agency reported. The ministry banned the import of all types of fruits except tropical fruits, which cannot be produced inside the country in a bid to help protect domestic farmers and producers.
