A new website for outsourcing work has been launched. Called Persianfreelancer.com, the site aims to provide employers and project directors an endless virtual labor force by outsourcing projects via the new online platform.
Persian Freelancer is a startup with a difference, and aims to give short-term employment in the fields of web design, graphic design, translation, writing, administrative support services, marketing and public relations, virtual management, social marketing and software development.
The site states it has over eight years of experience in the above fields and experts in the fields of translation and interpretership. The range of languages on offer is limited to a handful of the most spoken to begin with, but likely to increase as more freelance workers go online, according to Webna.
As this article goes to print, the site lists a team of professional web programmers and web developers. It also is offering jobs for graphic designers on a 19-day program as well as copyright designer project listed on a brief of four days and 17 hours for 5 million rials ($130).
The projects on offer are from a range of locations but all offered by Iranians based in the country and those who have emigrated. Iranian designers and developers are often employed in a freelance manner, so this site will fit well with the current jobs on offer.
Whois.com reports that the site came online in the past month with Mostafa Deqhan, of Tehran, listed as the site registrant.
According to Investopedia, outsourcing is an effective cost-saving strategy when used properly. It is sometimes more affordable to purchase products and services from companies with comparative advantages than it is to produce the goods internally.
An example of a manufacturing company outsourcing would be Dell buying some of its computer components from another manufacturer to save on production costs. Alternatively, businesses may decide to outsource book-keeping duties to independent accounting firms, as it may be cheaper than retaining an in-house accountant.
