Director general of Hamedan Province’s Customs Administration, Jamal Khoshouei, announced that the province’s customs revenues during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21) reached 22.8 billion rials ($780,000 based on official exchange rate), showing a 37% increase compared to last year’s similar period, Mehr News Agency reported on Tuesday. According to the official, more than 276,000 tons of goods worth $33 million were exported via Hamedan during the period. Exports mainly included potatoes, raisins, pickles, cement, clay products and ceramic bathroom accessories, destined for Iraq, Russia, Poland and the UAE. Also, 2,400 tons of goods valued at $15.1 million were imported via the province in Q1. Aluminum coils, hose fittings for automobile brake systems and tire cords constituted the majority of imports from China, Turkey, the UAE, India, Italy, the Netherlands, France and Spain.
