The government has allowed dairy manufacturers to raise the prices of milk, yogurt and cheese by up to 10 percent, Mehr News Agency reported. Managing director of Cattlemen’s Association, Seyed Ahmad Moghaddasi says the decision was made at a joint meeting attended by Vice President for Executive Affairs Mohammad Shariatmadari and other high-ranking government officials. It came after milk processing companies complained of increased prices of raw milk with the aim of helping them maintain reasonable profit margins.
