The mortgage scheme for first-time buyers has received a strong reception from applicants with 1,600 accounts opened in Bank Maskan in the first three days since the plan was launched. Housing deputy at the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Hamed Mazaherian, said Tuesday the average amount of deposits have been $5,000, making the total amount of housing deposits $8.4 million, IRNA reports.
