A high-ranking commander says the Armed Forces will not allow any inspection of military sites under a possible nuclear deal with the major powers. “We will never allow any kind of visit to military centers, whether it is limited and controlled, or unlimited or in any other form,” Press TV quoted Deputy Chairman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Massoud Jazayeri as saying on Friday. He underlined that the Iranian nation will never give in to the major powers’ excessive demands. On May 30, senior nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi rejected calls for inspections of military sites and interviews with nuclear scientists. On May 20, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Iran will not allow any inspections by foreign countries of its military facilities. He also stressed that foreigners will not be permitted to “interrogate” nuclear scientists.
