Bulgaria’s gross domestic product (GDP) has increased with 2% in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same quarter of the previous year and with 0.9% compared to the fourth quarter of 2014 according to the seasonally adjusted data, announced Bulgaria’s National Statistical Institute, Focus reported. According to the Release Calendar, the NSI will prepare and publish official quarterly estimates of GDP for the first quarter of 2015 on June 5, 2015. According to the GDP estimates for the first quarter of 2015, the GDP at current prices amounted to BGN 17.141 billion ($9.84b). In the structure of GDP by the expenditure approach the largest share has the final consumption (85.8%), which in nominal terms amounted to BGN 14.711 billion. In the first quarter of 2015 gross capital formation is BGN 3.430 billion and has a share of 20.0% in GDP. The external balance (exports minus imports) has a negative sign.
