Young IRCS Official Passes Away in Rome

Amir Motamedi, deputy for education and research at the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s Youth Department passed away in Rome’s San Camillo-Forlanini Hospital due to cardiac arrest on Sunday.

Motamedi, 38, was heading a seven-member delegation on a business trip to Italy to attend a workshop on emergency medical assistance, IRNA reports.

His body was flown back to Iran on Thursday and will be laid to rest on Saturday at the Behest-e-Zahra Cemetery in Tehran.
