Parliament (Majlis) passed a new bill recently to allocate $151.5 million (5,000 billion rials) to provide amenities for prisoners’ families, said Ali Asghar Jahangir, head of the Prisons Organization. The disbursements will be made to the families through bank branches across the country in the near future, he added, reports Alef News Agency.
