‘Nokhostin’ publication has released a collection of 12 volumes of the story titled ‘the Adventurous Journeys of Dari and Nari’. The collection represents the biography and the works of famous Persian pre-modern poets and scholars to children in the form of fiction, Mehr News reported.
The 10-year-old character Nari and her 12-year-old brother Dari love studying scientific and historical books. They go on long journeys and get acquainted with famous Iranian personalities in the stories. The phrase “Everyone with access to this book can close their eyes and imagine a character or a place mentioned in the story and he or she will be there...” is subtitled on the cover. The pictures in the collection depict the era in which the famous characters lived.
Abolghasem Feizabadi, the author of the series, opens the collection with ‘a Wondrous Visit to Avicenna’ and narrates stories about Zakariya al-Razi, Omar Khayyam, Ferdowsi and several other renowned Iranian scholars and poets.
‘The Adventurous Journeys of Dari and Nari’ is listed in educational books by the organizing secretariat of the education ministry. The collection is published for students of 5th and 6th grade of elementary school (11 and 12 year-old children).
