Pars Khodro car manufacturing company produced 110,200 vehicles in the last Iranian calendar year (which ended March 20), registering 82.3 percent growth compared to the year before, Armin Makvandi, deputy managing director of the company, said.
Despite its economic challenges due to the western-led sanctions imposed on Iran, the company manufactured double-cab pickup, which could beat its domestic rivals, Donya-e-Khodro reported, citing the official.
"On the top of the existing 2,000 pickups in the market, the company is tasked to manufacture another 3,000 of them by the yearend," he said.
Pars Khodro will also mass produce China's Brilliance H300 models (H320, H330) in the present year, he added. "There are more than 2,500 of H320 and H330 in domestic market presently."
