Some of the agricultural produce may contain unacceptable levels of pesticide residue and therefore all the domestically grown fruits and vegetables should be screened before entering the market, Mehr News Agency quoted Dr. Soheil Eskandari, deputy head of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as saying. He also explained about the safety of imported food products saying “FDA analyzes samples of all imported products before allowing them into the country.” He added presently, FDA is taking strides to strengthen its Food Fraud Detection Technology.
