A sisterhood agreement between Iran’s Urmia and Turkey’s Erzurum municipalities was signed on Monday.
The agreement was signed during the visit of an Iranian delegation from Urmia Municipality to Turkey, Mehr News Agency reported.
During the meeting, Erzurum mayor, Mehmet Sekmen highlighted the mutual friendship between the Iran and Turkey.
The two mayors stressed boosting bilateral ties in all areas and signed the agreement of sisterhood in the presence of media representatives.
Erzurum is a historical city in eastern Turkey. It is located 300 kilometers off Iran’s border.
