‘Atomic Heart’ directed by Ali Ahmadzadeh has been selected as one of the 18 movies competing at the international official competition section of the 17th Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI).
The movie narrates an enigmatic story that perplexes all film fans. Three friends are on their way back home from a party at night. The car is owned by one of the protagonists, and two women friends are conversing in it. Following a sudden crash, they meet a mysterious and dapper man who keeps reappearing throughout the rest of the film.
The whole story takes place in one single night which director mysteriously establishes as a personal and surely social journey in a glimmering path that goes from comedy to drama.
In the 90-minute movie, previously screened at the forum section of the 2015 Berlinale, the cast includes young stars such as Mohammadreza Golzar, Taraneh Alidoosti, Pegah Ahangarani, and Mehrdad Sedighian.
This is Ahmadzadeh’s second feature film after his debut ‘Kami’s Party’, which has attended several foreign festivals.
