The governor general of Fars Province announced on Sunday that the people behind the recent attack on the car of vocal lawmaker Ali Motahari have been identified, ISNA reported.
On the order of President Hassan Rouhani and following Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli’s repeated calls for measures to identify and deal with the people behind the attack, the provincial security council held intensive meetings with relevant officials to pursue the matter, Mohammad Ahmadi said.
“By God’s grace, the main elements behind the attack on Dr. Motahari’s car were identified late Saturday and (there cases) were referred to judicial officials,” he added.
