The deputy interior minister for security affairs said the government took great measures to improve internal security in the current Iranian calendar year ending on March 20, citing intelligence operations to “nip the enemy’s terrorist actions in the bud,” IRNA reported on Wednesday.
“Iran’s western and eastern neighbors have suffered from the insecurity created by extremist and violent groups for years, but the Islamic Republic of Iran has managed to protect its internal and external security powerfully and become an anchor of stability in the region.” Lieutenant General Hossein Zolfaqari said.
