The prices of nuts and dried fruits are expected to decline in the remaining days of the current year (ending on March 20), head of Iran’s nuts and dried fruits union, Mostafa Ahmadi told IRNA. Despite high demand for nuts and dried fruits on the occasion of the Iranian New Year (Nowruz), prices have witnessed no rise in the past two months due to high production and are even expected to slide in the upcoming days, he said. He assured consumers that the government will monitor the market and control the prices, recommending the households to shop from direct supply centers.
