The private sector has invested $1 billion in Belarus, the majority of which have already begun generating returns, IRNA quoted Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh as saying on Tuesday. Addressing the 12th Meeting of Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Commission in Tehran, the minister said: “It is the responsibility of both countries’ governments to pave the way for increasing bilateral trade.” The minister also called for specialized exhibitions, which he said would provide a suitable platform for both countries to showcase their capabilities in various economic sectors.
