Lawmaker Ebrahim Nekou told IRNA on Saturday that a group of lawmakers, former parliamentarians, political activists and mid-level managers at state departments, who are known for “adopting moderate stances”, have decided to establish the Moderation Party.
He said the group intends to obtain the required permits from the interior ministry and officially announce its establishment in the near future. He said the group shares views with the current administration because it believes in moderate policies adopted by the government, adding that it will try to play an active role in the campaigns for the 2016 parliamentary election.
