Need to Employ Modern Tools to Enhance Religious Propagation

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei underscored the development of propagation activities, calling for the use of modern tools for the promotion of religion. 
“Propagation in the modern times has progressed substantially thanks to the development of tools such as the internet and artificial intelligence,” he said, adding that the use of such instruments must become a top priority in religious propagation.
He made the remarks in a meeting with religious scholars and missionaries on Wednesday, Leader.ir reported. 
Negligence and laxity with regard to day-by-day changes of the propagation sector will lead to the country’s cultural transmutation, the Leader warned. 
Ayatollah Khamenei underlined the necessity of knowing the needs of the audience, saying propagation will be unsuccessful without appropriate material and methods. 
It is also essential to avoid a mere defensive approach and mount offensive operations against the intellectual principles of the opposing front as well. 
“We must not confine ourselves to defense, but must target the ideas of the enemy fronts through a correct narration of global realities,” he said.  
The Leader also stressed the importance of the clerics’ greater participation in propagation activities. 
He called for the formation of a huge clerical center for the qualitative and quantitative improvement of religious propagation with three missions, namely preparing up-to-date and innovative material, devising modern and influential methods and providing effective training.
