Subsidiaries of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization produced 3.95 million tons of iron ore pellets during the first two months of the correct Iranian year (March 21-May 21), registering a 2% increase compared with 3.86 million tons in the corresponding period of last year, latest data released by IMIDRO show.
The IMIDRO report takes into account the output of major producers, therefore the overall production should be higher than the figures quoted here.
Golgohar Steel Company produced 972,790 tons of pellets during the period to top the list of producers. It was followed by Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company with 520,133 tons, Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development Holding Company with 515,390 tons, Iran Central Iron Ore Company with 505,009 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company with 382,378 tons, Sangan Steel Company with 453,394 tons, Opal Parsian Sangan Mineral and Industrial Company with 390,094 tons, SIMIDCO with 182,669 tons and Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company with 32,606 tons.
