No Plans to Ration Water in Summer

Despite the challenges of supplying water nationwide, there are no plans to ration water during the summer, the spokesperson of Iran’s Water Industry affiliated with the Energy Ministry said.
“However, if necessary, it is likely to impose restrictions in certain regions,” Firouz Qasemzadeh was also quoted as saying by the Energy Ministry’s news portal Paven.  
“Since the beginning of the current water year [September 20, 2022], although precipitation has had a 6% growth compared to the same period of a year ago, it has declined by 16% in comparison with the long-term [50-year] average,” he added.
