Takhte Jamshid Petrochemical Company in Mahshahr, Khuzestan Province, has registered an impressive rise in output in the first six months of the fiscal year ending Sept. 22.
In terms of volume, the company has produced 40,871 tons of products during the period, which indicates a rise of 53% compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year when the figure was 26,697 tons, Naftema website reported.
In terms of value, it has sold over $34 million worth of products both inside and outside the country.
In the last fiscal year (March 2022-23), production reached 76,543 tons which, compared to the year before, had an 18.2% rise and compared to 2017, increased by 114.8%.
Takhte Jamshid Petrochemical Company is one of the major producers of synthetic rubber (ESBR & Co-PBR) in the Middle East.
Emulsion styrene butadiene rubber (ESBR) is made by the ‘cold’ polymerization process. SBR 1502, SBR 1712 and SBR1723 are the most prominent grades produced in TJPC.
Butadiene rubber is produced by a technology of solution polymerization, based on cobalt catalyst. The commercial trade name of TJPC butadiene rubber is PBR 1220 and is stabilized by non-staining antioxidant.
In addition to meeting domestic needs, TJPC exports its products to China, Pakistan, India, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Romania, Greece, Italy, Spain and Brazil.
Styrene butadiene rubber and polybutadiene rubber are used in the manufacture of car and bicycle tires, conveyor belts, shoe soles, cables, sponges, toys and rubber textiles.
