A total of 17,325 tons of shrimp were exported from Iran to China during the first seven months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Oct. 22), registering a 360% rise compared with the corresponding period of last year when it reached 4,790 tons, an official with the Agriculture Ministry said.
Abbas Mokhtari added that shrimp exports to Russia registered a 5% rise to stand at 1,205 tons during the period from 1,145 tons in last year’s corresponding period, IRNA reported.
Data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show a total of 36,300 tons of shrimp were exported from Iran to 22 countries in the last Iranian year (March 2021-22), registering a record.
