Trade between Iran and the Economic Cooperation Organization’s member states reached 7.73 million tons worth $5.73 billion during the current fiscal year’s first four months (March 21-July 22), data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Turkey was Iran’s main trade partner among the countries under review with 4.35 million tons worth $3.85 billion of commodity exchanges. It was followed by Pakistan with 1.15 million tons worth $701.15 million and Afghanistan with 944,065 tons worth $503.39 million.
Iran’s exports to ECO members stood at 6.22 million tons worth $3.46 billion during the period.
