South Wastewater Treatment Plant of Tehran in Expansion Mode

The head of State Inspectorate Organization of Iran has asked Tehran Water and Wastewater Company as well as agent banks to accelerate the construction of phases 7 and 8 of the South Wastewater Treatment Plan.
During a visit to the plant in Tehran on Friday, Zabihollah Khodaeian added that although a long time has passed since the launch of the executive operations of the development plan, the project has registered only 10% progress and the related bodies need to speed up the process, ILNA reported.
“According to the report provided by experts, with the completion of the project, millions of cubic meters of wastewater will be collected and treated per year, which will play an important role in the development of agricultural lands in the vicinity of the plant,” he said.
