New Ambassador to IAEA Appointed

The Islamic Republic of Iran appointed a new ambassador to the Vienna office of the world body and to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Mohsen Naziri has been selected as the new permanent representative of Iran to the United Nations Office at Vienna, one of the four major office sites of the UN where numerous different UN agencies have a joint presence.
Naziri will also serve as Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian before leaving for his mission, Naziri outlined his working plan during his tenure in Vienna and was given a series of advice by the foreign minister, Tasnim News Agency reported.
With a PhD in international law, Naziri used to serve as Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva and has the experience of completing several missions at the international organizations.
