Aluminum Output of IMIDRO Affiliates Rises by 31%

Affiliates of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) produced 171,376 tons of aluminum ingots in the current fiscal year’s first quarter (March 21-June 21) to register a 31% rise in output compared to Q1 of last fiscal year, a new IMIDRO report shows.
IMIDRO is the biggest state-owned mining holding in Iran.
South Aluminum Company accounted for the highest share of the total output with 74,100 tons. It was followed by Iran Aluminum Company with 47,319 tons, Almahdi Aluminum Company with 40,724 tons and Iran Alumina Company with 9,548 tons.
A total of 62,291 tons of alumina powder were produced by Iran Alumina Company in the three-month period, the sole producer of alumina powder in Iran. The figure registered an 11% growth year-on-year when the output was 55,974 tons.
Iran Alumina Company produced 149,928 tons of bauxite (raw materials for the production of alumina powder) during the period.
