Iran’s trade with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states stood at 3.38 million tons worth $2.54 billion during the current fiscal year’s first month (March 21-April 20), registering a 13.77% decline in weight, but a 13.72% growth in value year-on-year, the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
China with 2.31 million tons (down 7.07%) worth $1.97 billion (up 20.73%), India with 381,890 tons (down 49.62% YOY) worth $244.08 million (down 4.64%) and Pakistan with 266,244 tons (down 2.41%) worth $142.52 million (up 19.08%) were Iran’s top trade partners in the bloc.
Exports to the eight SCO member states hit 2.7 million tons worth $1.53 billion, registering a 19.61% decline in weight and 19.76% growth in value, compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.
