Iran’s trade with its leading commercial partner, China, reached $5.03 billion in the first four months of 2022, registering a 16% growth compared with the year before.
Latest data released by China’s General Administration of Customs show Iran’s exports totaled $2.49 billion during the four-month period, indicating a 25.5% year-on-year increase.
In return, China exported $2.54 billion worth of goods to Iran, registering an 8% YOY growth.
Bilateral trade hit $1.17 billion in April 2022, such that exports to China reached $556.07 million and imports hit $610.78 million.
