The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “tobacco” in the 12-month period ending Feb. 19, which marks the end of the 11th month of the current Iranian year, grew by 36.8% compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
The CPI of the group stood at 596.6 in the month to Feb. 19, indicating a 1.6% rise compared with the month before.
The “tobacco” index, which has the least impact on the total inflation rate with a coefficient of 0.59%, registered a year-on-year increase of 35%, according to the Statistical Center of Iran.
