Solar panels, with a total capacity of 425 kilowatts, have been distributed and installed in public places and organizations in the current Iranian calendar year (ends March 20), of which 350 kw pertains to governmental organizations, and 75 kw to schools and mosques. "Emission of 270,000 kg of CO2 was prevented utilizing the solar panels," managing director of the Tehran Electrical Energy Distribution Company, Mohammad Hashemi, was quoted by IRNA as saying.
