Composer to Serve as Alternative Diplomacy Ambassador

Composer and theorist Peyman Soltani was appointed as the ambassador to the newly established non-profit organization Center for Music Diplomacy.
The NGO, founded in January, is co-hosted in Geneva and Tehran and aims to form alternative diplomacies for better intercultural and intergenerational dialogue.
Soltani’s appointment letter was handed to him by president of the Swiss-Iranian Investment Forum (SIIF), a global initiative for responsible investment in Iran. 
SIIF, along with the SDS International Group, a UN Global Compact pioneer member, are the cofounders of the NGO. 
The Center for Music Diplomacy is committed to the advancement of UN Sustainable Development Goals and UN Global Compact principles.
It is starting its mission by introducing various cultures and striving for peace and friendship through the universal language of music.
