The agricultural sector accounts for 10 percent of the Gross National Product (GNP), said Nematollah Rezai, an official with the presidential office for rural development. He made the remarks in a meeting with villagers and farmers from Kermanshah Province, IRNA reported. The 21.5 million urban population constitutes about 25 percent of the total population and 51 percent of them are active in the agricultural sector.
