About 15.9 million metric tons of cement and clinker were exported during the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2014-January 20, 2015), IRNA cited the secretary of Iran’s Cement Industry Employers Association as saying. According to Abdolreza Sheikhan, the export of the products is expected to hit 18 million tons by the year’s end (March 20). Sheikhan said Pakistan and Turkmenistan, among other CIS countries, are the main target markets besides Afghanistan and Iraq.
