Abadan-Kuwait City Passenger Flight Launched

The first passenger flight was launched between Abadan International Airport and Kuwait City on Dec. 21.
The flights, conducted every Tuesday by IranAir, are also used to transport cargo, i.e., 20-30 tons of seafood per flight, the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported.
Abadan Airport is an international airport serving the namesake port city.
Located in the Arvand Free Zone, Abadan Airport was developed by the National Iranian Oil Company as an alternate to Mehrabad International Airport.
The airport still handles domestic and international services across the Middle East, and serves as an important hub for cargo transfers. It is operated by Iran Airports Holding Company.
