Crude steel production in Mobarakeh Steel Group exceeded 6.17 million metric tons during the first ten months of the current Iranian year (ending January 20), ILNA reported. The group’s three factories produced over 5 million tons of hot-rolled rebars as well as 1.81 million tons of cold-rolled sheets over the period. The steel manufacturing group also produced more than 7.26 million tons of sponge iron, indicating a 5.1% growth compared to last year’s similar period.
