Three steel mills will be set up on the southern coasts of the country, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Mehr news reported. The three mills in Bandar Abbas, Chabahar and Qeshm Island will add 11.6 million metric tons to the country’s steel production capacity. The three locations are desirable due to proximity to water and energy sources, as well as easy access to transportation routes.
