The Producer Price Index for industrial-scale livestock farms (using the year ending March 2017 as the new base year) stood at 342.02 in the third quarter of the current Iranian year (Sept. 22-Dec. 20, 2020), indicating a 26.75% and 48.15% increase compared with the preceding quarter and the same quarter of last year respectively.
Over the four-quarter period ending Dec. 20, livestock farms’ PPI increased by 16.21% year-on-year, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
PPI for industrial-scale livestock farms had increased by 9.69% in the four-quarter period ending Sept. 21.
Semnan posted the highest quarter-on-quarter producer inflation with 38.1% while Sistan-Baluchestan posted the lowest producer inflation with 5.4% compared with the preceding quarter.
Khorasan Razavi and Yazd provinces registered the highest year-on-year producer inflation with 67.4% while Bushehr posted the lowest year-on-year producer inflation of 1.8% in Q3.
