Tehran stocks closed the last day of trading week Wednesday in the red amid mounting selloff pressure.
The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 18,259 points, declining 1.16% to finish trade at 1,561,416.
The equal-weighted index was down 0.6%, indicating that both large and small cap shares declined for the day.
Shares in refinery companies were winners while metal, mineral, auto and bank stocks were in the losing camp.
Retail trade declined by 17.7% on Wednesday to reach 108.2 trillion rials ($360 million), according to eghtesadnews. Capital outflow of 2.5 trillion rials by retail investors was reported.
