Price of the dollar increase slightly by 0.04% on Monday to reach 246,300 rials. The currency started the week with 1.3% increase.
The euro, however, lost 250 rials, or 0.87% to be quoted at 288,870 rials. It had reached a new high of 291,370 rials a day earlier. The British pound also posted a 1.71% drop and was quoted at 321,850 rials.
Likewise, the UAE dirham's was priced at 68,000 rials on Monday while the Turkish lira fell 0.45% and quoted at 33,240 rials, Eghtesadnews reported.
In the bullion market, Emami gold coin gained 500,000 rials, or 0.43% and was offered at 114 million rials. The coin jumped 2.19% on Saturday, priced at 114 million rials. However, it lost 0.45% on Sunday.
In global markets, gold eased on Monday as the dollar made gains, although economic uncertainties kept it from falling further as investors awaited developments from central banks, according to Reuters.
Spot gold was down 0.2% to $1,928.44 per ounce, while US gold futures were little changed at $1,933.60.
